Cosmetic Tattooing
SHOULD I HAVE MY BROWS WAXED/THREADED PRIOR TO MY TATTOO?
It is not essential to have your brows waxed/threaded prior to your treatment, as we tidy them up for you if there are hairs outside of your tattoo.
WILL YOU SHAVE MY BROWS OFF?
No, we do not shave your brows off. We attempt to keep as much of your natural hair inside the tattoo as possible and only remove hairs that sit outside where we are tattooing.
DOES IT HURT?
We use two different anaesthetics throughout your tattoo treatment, one prior to starting and one consistently throughout the entire tattoo process. Everybody’s pain tolerance is different, so it depends on the person, however we aim to make the process as comfortable as we can for every individual. If you are worried about the pain, let us know prior so that we can organise for your anaesthetic to be left on for longer before starting the treatment.
DO YOU DRAW MY BROWS IN PRIOR TO COMMENCING THE TATTOO?
Yes, we do. We measure them in to ensure they start and finish in the correct place and are as thick and as arched as desired. You will be shown the outline for approval prior to us commencing your tattoo and any necessary changes will be made.
HOW LONG DOES FEATHER TOUCH TATTOO LAST?
There are many factors to take into consideration when it comes to how long feather touch tattoo will last. It is a semi-permanent treatment and generally lasts for 12-24 months. This varies from person to person depending on skin type, age, and lifestyle factors. In order for your brows to last as long as possible, make sure you are using sunscreen in them daily and avoid using exfoliation products over the top of them.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET COSMETIC TATTOOING?
You must be at least 18 years of age (no exceptions).
CAN I HAVE THIS TREATMENT WHILE PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING?
Unfortunately, we cannot perform cosmetic tattoo on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Cosmetic Injectables
CAN I HAVE INJECTABLES/FILLER?
If getting anti wrinkle or filler done, we suggest getting it done at least 4 weeks prior to your tattoo treatment to give it time to settle into the skin. If getting it done after your tattoo treatment, there are no time restrictions as too when you can have it done.
CAN I HAVE THIS TREATMENT WHILE PREGNANT/BREASTFEEDING?
Unfortunately, we cannot perform cosmetic Injectables on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Is it painful?
Most clients describe it as a feeling of ‘pressure’ more so than pain. Depending on the area of the face and the depth at which we are injecting, mild discomfort may be experienced. However, for more sensitive areas of the face, topical anaesthetic is applied to ensure clients are as comfortable as possible while getting their treatments done.
Can I have injectables done while pregnant/breastfeeding?
Unfortunately, we cannot perform cosmetic Injectables on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Is there an age limit?
The legal age to get cosmetic injectables done in Australia is 18+.
Can everyone have cosmetic injectable treatments done?
For the most part, yes! However, there are medical contraindications to take into consideration when undergoing an injectables treatment. You will be asked a series of questions upon booking and during your consultation to ensure that it is safe to proceed with the treatment. Please note, those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive are unable to have injectable treatments done.
How long does filler last?
This varies depending on the dose being injected, but as a rule of thumb filler should last between 12-18 months.
How long does anti-wrinkle last?
Anti-wrinkle treatments last typically between 12-16 weeks in the skin. Results may vary depending on the area being injected, the dose being used and environmental factors that are being experienced at the time, such as stress, sun exposure and intensive exercise.
What is the difference between anti-wrinkle and filler?
Anti-wrinkle is used to minimise muscle movement in the face and takes between 2-14 days to see the full effect or your anti-wrinkle treatment. Filler is used to add volume to precise areas of the face to replace volume loss caused by the natural aging process, and the results of dermal filler can be seen immediately.
